I have been a member of every Gym in this town and I just have not been able to train myself. Now I go to Leigh for 4 days a week and I’m finally after 40 years making incredible improvements. I should’ve stopped wasting all that money on all those gym memberships and just come here first.

Leigh is a great personal trainer… and just an all-around super guy. He pushes you hard to get the results you are after, but all in a very safe and structured manner. It’s an hour full of hard work with some British humor thrown in for good measure.

It took me a long time to research and finally decide on a personal trainer. Leigh’s positive attitude, knowledge, and strong belief in functional fitness helped me take the plunge. I am 66 years old, overweight, and have had hip and knee replacements. I came to Leigh 4 months ago feeling defeated. I have found Leigh to be kind, knowledgeable and motivating. I have lost 20 pounds (80 to go), gained strength, flexibility, balance and functionality. Before Leigh I struggled to stand up from a chair, I am now doing modified squats! Before Leigh I had not been on the floor for over 5 years, I am now doing modified push ups! Before Leigh I avoided stairs at all costs, I am now climbing 5-10 flights a day! Whatever your need is with respect to fitness goals, Leigh is sure to be able to fulfill it. I am a single mom and sometimes finding a place for my kid to go so I can work out is a challenge. Not with Leigh, my child is always welcome, and he gets her involved too. Flexible hours to fit your schedule as well. He has been a pleasure receiving training from the past 6 months, he pushes me to what he has seen me accomplish even when I am having an off day. As a young girl, I was always athletic. I was in every team sport imaginable from competitive swimming to hockey. Never would I have imagined as an adult I would have and issue with my weight or being active. In my early 20’s I jumped from fad diets, to spin classes, cleanses, and diet pill. My weight jumped up and down and I still couldnt find my niche. After moving to kelowna a few years later and opening my business I hit an all time low in self esteem. I was skipping meals, living on coffee, wine, and late night take out after 12-13 hour days. the number on the scale was ok, but I could not walk up stairs without losing my breath, barely open the jar in the kitchen, I had lost my strength, I had lost myself. My chiropractor had suggesting checking out this trainer and I polity took the card thinking “right, the last thing I have time for is a juice monkey telling me to live off boiled chicken and that I am over weight”. I stared at the card for at least two weeks before I made the call. Upon our first meeting Leigh took the time to listen to who I was, what I was looking for, my fears, my restrictions, and managed to work around my ridiculous schedule. 2 very slow and breathless laps, 4 pushups, 10 squats later, our first meeting was done. Little did I know this would lead to a life time of changes. Almost 5 months later, I am now stronger than I have ever been in my life. Some days I can do over 50 push ups in a work out, Squatting with an extra 40 lbs? No problem! I am proud of who I am, and thankful because Leigh has helped me regain my confidence. I may whine and complain when he has me doing squats and lunges, but he is who I credit when I get a compliment on my legs! Leigh is an amazing trainer. His approach is very technical for the exercise that you need, not what everybody else is getting. I have had other personal trainers who have a canned approach to training. Leigh watches you, analyzes your movements and then custom fits an approach to make you stronger and fitter. Leigh is an engaging, dynamic, and a motivating trainer. Training sessions with Leigh are hard but fun, and he supplements these with lots of other support throughout the week. I especially appreciate the meal plan reviews and the feedback he gives as well as his flexibility on workout locations. I could not recommend him more highly!
If you’ve ever thought that getting fit was too difficult on your own – THEN GO SEE LEIGH! I did and I couldn’t be more satisfied – he’s just the motivation I need. I go 5 days per week and the sessions are challenging, but still fun. More importantly, for me getting fit was not just about exercising regularly it was about getting my diet right. I like the advice I’m given because it’s tailored to me, current, well-researched and realistic.

I always thought ‘I can do this myself’, lose weight, get in shape and I have, although always ending up back at where I started….until I met Leigh. Leigh and I had a chance meeting while walking our little Chihuahuas. I was eating too much and drinking too much and he came into my life just in time. Having had major surgery on my knee and foot and then gone through physiotherapy I felt that I need specific individual advice rather than just a general gym class, As a result of Leigh’s particular skills I now feel that I can cope with many more physical activities. I trained with Leigh when he was in England and can recommend him. My stamina, strength and flexibility have all improved. He did take in to account my age which is 67 but still pushed me to do that little bit more. After a session I may have been worn out but felt great
