Motivation comes in many different ways, when starting training a new client I like to work out what is the best way to encourage them to do the things that will get them the results they are looking for. Education about good and bad choices is the foundation of helping someone with the start of their nutritional journey, from there on in it becomes a process of understanding the psychology of why a person turns to bad foods or decides that exercising is too much to handle. Having dealt with thousands of different people, I have devised a large list of ways of guiding clients into better decisions and am constantly thinking up new ones. Whilst training myself today I realized the date and that summers peak is only one month away, as soon as I thought about this I felt that my summer body wasn’t quite there yet and that a few more of the winters pounds could perhaps be shed. So I thought to myself how could I adapt my necessity to lose a few pounds to helping my clients and in turn helping myself.

Heres what I come up with !

The 2lbs a week 4 week challenge

 

  • I am going to lose 2lbs a week for 4 weeks
  • All my clients are allowed to challenge me at this
  • If they lose 2lbs a week for a month and I lose 2lbs a week for a month then we all win.
  • If I fail I will offer all participants a free week of training
  • If a client fails then they have to do something for me, this can be decided by them at the start and if I agree to whatever it is then they are in the game.
  • I do not want offers of cash so get creative with your prizes for me
  • The goal is a total of 8lbs in 4 weeks, so if you lose that in two weeks then lose nothing more you still have won.
  • I will put all participants names onto this blog and will update it weekly with there weight loss progress
  • I will only put the amount of weight you have lost or gained not how much you weigh
